"I have always desired to get the same quality of sound from the snare sticks and tenors sticks but, until now, I have been unable to do so. The tenor stick is the same basic design as the snare stick but shorter and with a slightly larger bead. This creates a blend of sound between the two voices that I have only been able to achieve by having the tenors use the same sticks as the snares but allows the tenors to have the length needed for intricate arounds. The best of both worlds which results in a better musical product."
