Hi I’m Ron Thorpe, the owner of 2CoolPercussion.com. Married and father of 4 — here is my daughter Ashley (16) and Chris (son)13-years old and Jake 7 years old and Jonathan 2 years old (all future drummers).
Thanks for looking at my site. I know there is a lot of other percussion companys equipment out there. I make the equipment with high quality and at affordable prices, giving the customer something more, which helps make a loyal customer.
I marched for Sunnyslope High School ’82-’86 (snare drum), also jazz band and concert band, then the Arizona Musketeer in 1986 (cymbals) and 1987 (snare drum), and Phoenix College ’86-’91 (snare and quads). I have performed with the Phoenix College Concert Band and Orchestra, ASU Concert Band, and Phoenix Pops Orchestra. Had private lessons with Bruce Pulk of the Phoenix Orchestra and Sean Readiy. Teched for the Velvet Knights Drum and Bugle Corps 1990, 1991, 1992 (repairing drums/pit and horns). For Dave Dulila in 1990, Glen Cosby, 1991 and Tom Float in 1992 (1992 my best year for building stuff thanks to Tom Float and Jack Bevins) and then Red Technical College for Band Instrument Repair ’93 ( one of only 2 colleges that offer Band Instrument Repair in the U.S.),worked for many local music store in the Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona and Portland, Oregon area. Also a member of the Play it Again Band (1987-2006).
Building stands mostly for many primary, elementary, junior and high school music programs, professional musicians, marching band drum instructors, drum corps and bugle corps and steel drum bands and one recording studio.
